Let’s take an example of iPod. Here the company don’t have market lead and much market share. Here the company invest in the market but doesn’t get much in return.
2. Problem Child (Low market share and high growth):
Assume MacBook of Apple Company. Here the market share of Apple is not growing. But Apple Company has lead and growth in the market.
3. Star (High market share and high growth):
Taking an example of iPhone, where the Apple Company’s market and market share both are growing at higher rate.
4. Cash Cows (High market share and low growth):
Here when we talk about iPad, the company’s industry is not growing but market share is growing at higher rate.
