20 professional skills marks are available for how a student constructs and presents their answers.
It is very crucial for exam success.
More professional skills application = More technical marks likely.
In the exam there will be assessment of all five professional skills.

- Communication
- Commercial Acumen
- Analysis
- Scepticism
- Evaluation
Communication Skills
It is about being able to speak to different stakeholders.
if we needed to communicate with someone through email or memo, we should always think about the audience when drafting the email or memo.
We should think about the tone, the language, the level of details etc.
Communication skills requires you to,
- Inform to intended audience.
- In clear and persuasive manner.
- Through the appropriate medium.
- While being sensitive to their needs.
Commercial Acumen
It means you should make commercially sound decision when resolving issues or exploiting opportunities.
To demonstrate this skill you should have knowledge of external environment in which organisation operates.
Commercial acumen is nothing but a common business sense. It depends on how good you understand a Business/ Industry/ Supply chain etc.
Scepticism Skill
In the exam, you will face substantial amount of information in various forms.
Can you be sure that the information that is available is,
Correct?
Truthful?
Complete?
Sometimes you can’t be sure about it because of lack of supporting proof.
That’s why you have to be sceptical in Accountancy filed and that’s why it’s very important skill for exam also.
To show the effective scepticism you must show combination of,

2) Questioning
3) Challenging
Evaluation Skills
Evaluation means to carefully assess situations, proposals and arguments in a balanced way.
You have to predict future outcomes and consequences as a basis for sound decision making.
Or we can say that any course of action is examined from different perspectives.
