Broke the Myth – No jobs in India for ACCA

Hello guys, I am hearing lots of buzz about ACCA among students in social media, There are different opinions on toughness, job perspective and the future of qualification.

But this blog I am writing not because I want to share some insights but I want to break the misconception among the students.

Lots of students are blaming ACCA for not getting job with salary of 5-6 lacs.

This blog is just honest opinion, and I am writing this for you so that you can learn from this, It’s not for criticism.

Frankly speaking Its Student’s fault most of the time. Let me share my opinion on the basis of my experiences and observation.

Jobs & Recognition in India

First let me give you some facts, last year despite of Pendamic ACCA have published more than 3000 jobs for India, and for this year within 6 months they have already posted more than 3000 jobs and many more to come.

Why ACCA is recognized in India and abroad, its because of the professional level curriculum, case study based exam system, focus on professional skills and superior knowledge of IFRS. People with the knowledge of IFRS are in demand in India and abroad.

There is a misconception among the student and their parents, that if they are spending 4-5 lacs while pursuing any qualification, the Job should come to student without any hard work, superior knowledge, expertise, soft skill, experience.

I am doing ACCA counselling for ACCA since last 5 years and have explained the ACCA to more than 1500 students personally, one question that is asked by most of the students/parents are pay package.

And I have enrolled more than 400 students in these 5 years and almost none of the students have told me about their life goal, career goal, area where they want to get expertise, almost none of them are reading some good books/business magazines regularly.

Very few knows about Blockchain technology and its impact in Financial world. Most of them spend 5-6 hours a day in social media.

Most of the students think that as they have account in LinkedIn, they will get the opportunity no its not like that, you have to regularly post a quality content of your expertise, have to make relevant connection of like minded people, have interaction with them, grow your knowledge etc

I hope you got my point what I am trying to explain you. Conclusion is that you need lot more good habits and direction in your career.

I here am not demotivating you or blaming the students. I want to make you aware that just qualification is not enough to get you handsome salary. ACCA do not have alladin’s gin.
