ACCA Knowledge level papers are easy in terms of difficulty level. Also knowledge level papers are on demand CBE so most of the students feel comfortable giving On demand CBE exams. Lots of the aspects of Knowledge level is already studied in school also like Journal entry, preparing financial statements etc
But Skill level is the next level so obviously it will going to be the tougher one then Knowledge level papers.
Lots of students are not aware about skills level papers and may underestimate the aspects.
I am writing this blog just to make you aware about how skill level papers are different then the knowledge level papers.
Difficulty level
Skill level papers have lot more difficulty level, like UK taxation and Audit are totally new paper, while FR is totally about IAS & IFRS. And when we talk about Finance, you may have studied Capital budgeting in MA but apart from that whole Finance is new to you.
For the student who is not having practical life experience, all the above subjects will be the difficult one to understand.
So mentally prepare your mind.
Examination
ACCA Skill level papers are not on demand so if you fail, you will have to wait for next sitting.
Apart from that, these papers are Centre based or remote based where lots of students gets nervous during the exam time.
Case study based exam
In knowledge level you may have not written anything in the exam mostly it was about MCQ & MTQ based question
But now 40 marks of paper will be written case study based where you have to use excel sheet and word file.
All the new ACCA satudents face issue here when they don’t have practice of writing in computer.
So start practicing the case studies on your own laptop as early as possible to make an habit of typing.
Conceptual clarity
In the skill level the MCQ level is different, you can solve the MCQ and MTQ only when you have superb conceptual clarity. So when you learn the subject try to ensure that you are not mugging up but you are really understanding the things.
I hope you also agree with the above points highlighted. Share the link to your friends also.
Thank you
