Hello students, Hope you are doing well, This blog is for those who are qualified CMA from Institute of Cost Accountant of India (ICAI).

Lots of students asks us that is there any exemption available in ACCA if we have CMA India qualification with us. The answer is yes.

The exemption is difficult if you are part qualified CMA or pursuing CMA. But there is surely an enough exemptions available in ACCA if you are fully qualified CMA.

If you are fully qualified CMA with less than 5 years of experience of job then ACCA will give you 7 papers of exemptions.

CMA (Experience < 5 Years) = 7 papers exemption

But if you are CMA with more than 5 years of experience of job then ACCA will give 9 papers exemptions.

CMA (Experience > 5 Years) = 9 papers exemption

To claim the above exemption in ACCA you first of all need the all the CMA related original mark sheets and certificates. Screenshot of online marksheets are not allowed and not eligible to claim exemption in ACCA.

If you are having more than 5 years’ experience and want to claim 9 papers exemption then the experience letter from your employer will also require to submit to ACCA.

ACCA body will award the above exemption but will also charge the exemption fees from students. If you want to know the exemption fees of ACCA and want to get the DISCOUNT in exemption fees then contact us.
